Boardwalk Days -Finished

It's been a while since I've been in the Studio- a mixture of illness and hospitals, but I wanted to get this thing done and today felt well enough to go in and finish the little bit that remained on this boardwalk print.

I don't know for sure if this thing is actually done- I could see some fixes that I may make, but I don't see any more major changes on this piece, so I am going to declare this one finished and start thinking about the next one. What I added today was just some bold reds.  I still haven't decided if I will be doing any more boardwalk prints, but I do have some old ideas that I never got to, so that won't be the problem.

Boardwalk Days part 56

Kind of an odd day, but I do hate to waste a day.  Yesterday was a bit rough, but I decided that I could get some things done.  I have two computers that serve different purposes  My older one has most of my images saved and hundreds of documents.  All of these can be uploaded to the internet, so if I need one, I can use them that way, or even just email it to myself at my new computer.  On the other hand, the operating system goes back a ways, and it just doesn't operate with all modern sites, or at a limited capacity.  I did update the operating system years ago, but my computer consultant tells me that is not possible anymore.  It is the computer I have used to download my digital photos, and I do blog from it, so I still use it every week.  Can I blog from the new computer, or download photos to it?  Probably, but I never learned how to do that, or needed to.

Until maybe now. Yesterday I could not get on the new computer, and now it wants me reset the whole thing.  Not helping is that I had some kind of illness the past few days, though it seems to be getting better.  In any case, I felt like I could get some things done today.  But the new computer still wasn't going to let me on. I knew that the speech therapy place that I have an appointment with tomorrow would be sending me an email to confirm or cancel the appointment, and that would be on aol, a site I can access on my old computer.  I loaded that email, read the message. but it wouldn't let me do anything beyond that, deciding it may be an imposter. Deal with that later.

Later than usual, I set out this morning.  First the Shop Rite, to pick up a few things I can use in the coming  week.  Then up to the Studio, to do a little more coloring

and to learn more about the music situation. My experiment for today was to try to play an official label produced disc in my machine and see it there were any problems this time.  Most of my official discs were on my shelves at home, but I kept a few in my car to play on my long commutes to school.  What I have now is whatever I had in the Studio and in my car.  What I ended up listening to today was one from the car- Vitalogy by Pearl Jam, written about here back in September of 2023,  The disc played without incident, which doesn't really prove anything.  Need a lot more experiments in the future, but had to start somewhere.  The coloring went well.  Mostly a lot greens, made from the last batch of watercolor paints I bought.  The photo above shows what got done.

Next stop was heading home from the Studio, but stopping off at my speech therapist to settle this appointment among other things.  I explained why the computer wasn't letting me do things that way this time, and got a rescheduling for next week. Then finally stopped at ACME on the way home from there to pick up some milk.  Perishables don't last long in a car on a summer day like today, so I couldn't  get it this morning.
