Supermarket Preacher part 5

Back to the Studio in the afternoon to continue on the current block. I added two more partial figures on the left side of the block, and started blocking in boxes and other containers on the shelves. Next time I'll fix the proportions of the shelved items and make any needed adjustments to the figures, and fill in the details.

At one point I took a break from my drawing to walk over to The Paint Place, a gallery on Cookman Avenue in Asbury. Today was the first day of a new show of work by Jill Kerwick, a friend of the Studio as a regular at the Social Animal Press critique group. She's primarily a painter, but also does a lot with collage, and has some print background. The current show is a mix of paintings and collages (such as the one shown in the 2nd photo), a few of which I had seen before at our group meetings. Jill was there, so we had a chance to discuss the work and the evolution of some of the pieces. The show is up through July 20.
